Beyonce Tickets - Change Is In the Air
by Brent Warnken
In one week, George W. Bush will step down as Commander in Chief of the United States of America and a new president will be sworn in. The inauguration of Barack Obama has caused quite a stir around the country, with many folks scrambling to do whatever they can to see the 44th president officially sworn in.
Lucky for those who are descending on the nation's capital in a few days, they will also witness many superstars in the entertainment world, who have also made the journey to celebrate America's change. If you're a die-hard Garth Brooks fan, the country crooner will be there. Feel the need to get down to worker's roots, follow the blue collar man's singer, Bruce Springsteen.
Love Bono's style, don a pair of wrap around sunglasses and brave the chilly weather. But what about Beyonce? The dynamite singer and occasional actress will not miss out on this extraordinary event and joins her fellow musicians to help ring in the occasion right. Other prominent artists who will be in attendance include: Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Herbie Hancock, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles, John Mellencamp, Shakira, James Taylor, will.i.am and Stevie Wonder. Oh and Obama's little daughters will be thrilled to know that Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers will also make appearances at the upcoming inaugural festivities.
The performers will all take the "stage" at the Lincoln Memorial on January 18. It is billed as "We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial" and is free to the public. For those who are not going to be able to attend, it will be entirely broadcast by HBO 7-9 EST. Or get your own pair of Beyonce tickets to see her live on stage.
Beyonce Knowles got her start in the music industry as the lead singer of the hotter than hot girls group Destiny's Child. The R&B group enjoyed massive success with their many album releases and are best known for their singles "No, No, No," "Jumpin' Jumpin" and "Say My Name." Beyonce, encouraged by the group's success, decided to embark on a solo career and released her debut album Dangerously in Love in June 2003. The album jumped to the top of the chats that year and spawned the hits "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy." It also earned the young singing sensation five Grammy Awards in one night and solidified her standing as a solo artist in the industry.
She followed with B'Day in 2006, also a success thanks to the UK hit singles "Deja vu" and "Beautiful Liar" as well as the worldwide smash hit "Irreplaceable." Her third solo album hit the stores in November 2008 and was called I Am...Sasha Fierce. Once again, Beyonce did not disappoint and thrived on the singles "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."Beyonce has also developed a career in acting over the years, starring in The Pink Panther, Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records...Etta James and Austin Powers: Goldmember.
Don't miss Beyonce as she celebrates in style on January 18 and if you can't make that event, be sure to check out her many other concert dates, which are likely to attract thousands.
